Tips to keep you safe on Nefxi
Video Guides
Before You Buy
Meet in person before paying
Never send money to someone you have not met face-to-face. Always arrange a safe, public meeting to inspect the item first.
Inspect before you pay
Always examine the item thoroughly before handing over any money. Test electronics, check for damage, and confirm the item matches the listing.
Beware of advance payments
Be very cautious of sellers asking for deposits or full payment before you have seen and verified the item. Legitimate sellers will not pressure you.
Research the price
If a deal seems too good to be true, it probably is. Compare prices with similar listings before committing to a purchase.
Meeting Safely
Choose a safe meeting spot
Meet in a busy public place like a shopping centre, cafe, or police station. Never agree to meet in a private location or someone's home.
Bring someone with you
Where possible, bring a friend or family member along. Let someone you trust know where you are going and when to expect you back.
Meet during daylight hours
Arrange meetings during the day in well-lit, populated areas. Avoid late-night meetups with strangers.
Protecting Your Information
Do not share personal details
Avoid sharing your ID, bank details, home address, passwords, or financial information with strangers on the platform.
Use in-app messaging
Keep all communication within Nefxi's chat. Be cautious of anyone who insists on moving the conversation to WhatsApp or email early on.
Watch out for phishing
Nefxi will never ask for your password or payment details via chat. Do not click suspicious links sent by other users.
Reporting & Trust
Report suspicious behaviour
If something feels off, trust your instincts. Report the user through the listing or chat, and do not proceed with the transaction.
Check seller ratings
Review the seller's profile, ratings, and previous listings before agreeing to buy. Established sellers with reviews are generally safer.
Contact support if scammed
If you believe you have been scammed, contact Nefxi support immediately and report the incident to your local authorities.
In an emergency
If you are ever in immediate danger, call your local emergency number (e.g. 999 or 112) immediately. Your safety always comes first.
