Description

100 is a camera setting that controls how sensitive the camera sensor is to light. In photography, ISO is part of the “exposure triangle” together with shutter speed and aperture. What ISO 100 means ISO 100 = low light sensitivity It gives the cleanest image quality with very little digital noise or grain. Best used in bright environments like daylight or strong studio lighting. Common uses of ISO 100 Outdoor photography in sunlight Landscapes Portraits with good lighting Product photography Studio shoots Advantages Sharper details Better colors Minimal image noise Higher image quality Disadvantages Needs more light In dark places, photos may become too dark unless: shutter speed is slower, or aperture is wider Simple example If you take: ISO 100 → cleaner image but needs bright light ISO 3200 → brighter in darkness but more grain/noise You can think of ISO like eye sensitivity: ISO 100 = eyes in daytime High ISO = eyes trying to see in the dark
